Benefits to your Group
- Discounts of up to 25 per cent if a number of people from your group book jointly to attend an official Herb Society Event.
- A copy of our prestigious quarterly journal Herbs.
- A web page on our web site giving information on your group. (Check out this page as an example) If you already have a web site, we will give a link to your site from our Groups page in return for you giving a link to our web site.
- Opportunity to have items about your group included in our Herbs Journal.
- Permission to use phrases like, "Herb Society Affiliate Group," or, " Affiliated to the Herb Society," on your publicity material and correspondence.
And what does this cost you - NOTHING!
But you do have the following obligations as an Associate Member.
- At all your normal events (which do not include purely social events or field trips) you should have on display the Herbs Journal, copies of the Herb Society leaflet and membership application form, and information on our forthcoming events.
- You need to give us details of a contact person who we can deal with when required.
- You must never infer or imply that you are able to act on behalf of the Herb Society.
Termination
Your Group and the Herb Society have the right to terminate your affiliate status with one month's notice.
How to become an Affiliate Group
To become an Affiliate Group, you must, of course, be a group whose aims and activities are compatible with and relevant to those of the Herb Society as set out on our web site. We don't have any set rules on this so just let us know about your organisation so that we can decide whether you qualify. Alternatively, you may email the Society Administrator for an application form.
Affiliation will be for one year with the option to renew provided that you circumstances have not changed.
