  • Mediterranean
  • Middle East

Growing conditions

(Many varieties - find one to suit local conditions)

  • Well drained, alkaline soil
  • Plenty of sunshine

Maintenance

  • Do not feed
  • Remove dead flower stalks with shears
  • Cut back to 'bushy' parts

Uses

  • Dried flowers
  • Distilled essential oil used in perfumes, cosmetics and aromatherapy
